Left the dock at 6:20am with Barry, Bill and Rob. Headed east and found the birds working the sand eels. Picked off a bunch of blues jigging. Gave each pod 10 min and w/ no bass we just moved on. Then we came accross the right school of bait. We had 14 Bass up to 41". We took home 1 each and released all the ones over 40.



By 10am the bite slowed down so we set up the feathers and did an inshore troll for bluefin. With no luck we shot out to the yankee and trolled towards the mudhole. We saw some dolphins working bait on the surface and tried jigging. No luck on the tuna hunt but a successful day nonetheless.

Great job releasing the big ones. The smaller ones taste better anyway. Sounds like a great day.

Short fish what are you talking about Surfrodder .

Nice catch. But remember not to go to far out with bass on the boat.

Be careful. Over 3 miles out with those stripers buys trouble. Newsday has a story today about two recreational guys busted by the Coast Guard for being in the EEZ.

re: "surfrodder"..i believe the best response to these naive comments/people...is NO RESPONSE !!......this is what he/she wants...to rile things up and get attention...!! I am doing it right now !! Moving forward.............
