fish hudson canyon on dr joe lalia boat foot fixer we fished wed into thurs water was 72 blue we trolled for no takers set up at the 100 square for some night chunking we were swarmed with blue sharks all night we caught a few but they were beating all are tackle up all night some times it was 4to 5 rods at once chewwing thru leaders while we had 6 lines at once wrapped in a blue shark i put out 30penn single speed at 45 'with a butterfish to have some thing to try to get a tuna while we were re rigging The rod goes off i say this better not be another blue lol this swordfish comes out of the water at the boat and goes down 200' well its game on for the next 1hour 20 mins till it was brought and gaffed and in the boat wow what a fight this was my first swordfish and the 11th swordfish that was caught on Dr Joes boat in 25 years of going to the canyons the fish was weighed at burnetts bait tackle at 129lbs in the morning we trolled again for one lonely mai mai on the pots and headed home we had a great time as usual with great friends dr joe, rick zappia,and noreaster mike big guy

nice sword capt. we were next to you on the temptation. the blue sharks were a pain as we ended up with a couple of them after we spoke.

Off of the Brooklyn tuna fishing same story with the sharks tangled with two blues before hooking this sword best fight of my life. Capt mike and crew were terrific as well as the other fisherman on board.great trip
