Left the dock tuesday at 5 PM for an overnighter, and set up at the 100 square for the chunk at midnight. As soon the as lights go on we are surrounded by upwards of 80 porpoise. A butterfish bait starts screaming off and after backing down on it for about 25 minutes we find that we had hooked a porpoise who then broke off. About an hour later we get a run off and a jump from a 5'-6' mako who then also bit us off, other than that the night bite was dead.

Started trolling at the crack of dawn and got a nice 40 lbs yellowfin. About an hour after that we get a double header on big eye landing one at 140 lbs and losing one. Then lost two fish, one to a broken line, and one to straightened hook. Finally at about 11 oclock we land one more big eye at 120 lbs. We trolled from the 100 square up the east wall.

Gorgeous weather, tons of whales porpoise and anchovies at night
