Planned on an early sun AM trip with Grover, T-Mac and Ryan. Thought ahead and called up Cow Harbor Bait and Tackle. Phil reserved a dozen for us that I picked up on sat before closing.

5am, the boys were at the house and soon enough, we motored out onto the flat calm LI Sound. Ryan had his camera out and was snapping pics like crazy all day long.

Got to a nice spot in 50 ft of water, and Tom took care of the anchor while the other two got the lines in. The Bass were there, and they were hungry. Took all of 15 minutes before the lines were going off.

Grover started the party with a 33 inch drag pulling keeper that was soon bleeding out, followed by Ryan's 35 incher. Nice sized fish were inhlaing the chunks.

A couple of smaller blues came to play, and had us retying rigs. T-Mac was next with another keeper bass, that Ryan got a few action shots in the water. Barely an hour in, and we had two fish on ice, and another bleeding out. My turn finally came with another drag testing 36 inch keeper.

Great morning with 4 keepers in the cooler, and we were still on'em. A few more big blues came to play, as well as an oh so close 38 inch bass that was set free, along with 3 others totalling 8 on the day.

Changed gears and went around Eatons to drift the CG station for fluke. Grover got a bye-catch porgie at 13 inches. Drifted all the way around around until infront of the lighthouse Grover again got a keeper fluke at 20 inches. Lots and Lots and Lots of robins kept us busy, with the occasional short fluke.

Called it a day around 11am and headed back to the house where Sammy just had to get hands dirty holding up the fish before they went under the knife.

Good times with great friends, nice weather and big fish.

Great outing and pics, Drew. You've done something right if Sammy wants to hold the fish before they get cut! That's a keeper photo for sure.
