Got out again yesterday after work. My buddy Boyd went to Cow Harbor and picked up the fresh bunker and ice to save some time. Thanks Mark....

Ed and Boyd and I broke the inlet at 6:30 as the incoming began. Went to a spot at 60 ft and set the hook.

The action wasn't like Sat, but after soaking the chunks and cutting some chum, Ed got the night started with a 29 inch striper.

Soon after, we got a visit from the harbormaster that gave us the once over while Boyd was trying to hook one. Well, he missed his chance with the harbormaster boat right next to us..but shortly after they wished us a safe night on the water and we bid them goodbye.

More chumming, and suddenly the light south breeze turned into a hard north wind, bouncing us around on the hook. The marine radio chirped with a NWS warning of a T-Storm...checked the radar and saw the storm forming just to our west, so we played it safe. Pulled the hook and headed to the ramp with lightning in the background and the wind whipping.

Back at the ramp, Ed cleaned his catch as we watched the weather move on...wind died out and the radar cleared up...so I made the call to give it another go.

Back out there...chunked and chummed some more. I was freshening up a bait and setting it back down and felt it get picked up..fed it some line and then started to reel. Fish headed for the anchor and got wrapped up in it, so after some acrobatics and tense moments, the line was free and the fish was exhausted...scooped onboard and bled out...37 inches.

No more action after that, so we cut the fish out there and headed for the barn on a flat calm Sound that was fairly nasty not an hour before.

Nice night with good friends and keeper fish..Sweet!
