Dropped by Cow Harbor Bait and Tackle on sat afternoon. Chewed some fat with Mark and Phil as well was Ed who came bearing gifts. Picked up some gear as well as fresh bunker and ice and was on my way.

Had to wait for the guys to show up due to traffic and work. We got a later started than we planned, and had another delay at the ramp that invovled Sea Tow, but finally at 7pm we headed out into the Sound.

Rob dropped the anchor at 50 ft, as T-Mac cut the bunker, and Ed manned the beer. Sent the baited 8/0 circles down, and after some chum, we had life.

Tom who had a rough trip last time let the fish run a bit, eased the reel into gear and started the slow retrieve. Line went tight and it was on. Fiesty 32 incher fought all the way to the net. Scooped it up, and as we are dehooking, the other rod goes off.

My brother Ed is up next, and follows with a tight line. He commented that its a small one as its coming up easy. Well, the fish saw the boat and had other ideas. 5 good runs and Ed was eating his words, but he got the best of the 35 inch striper.

That was just the first 15 minutes!

Got the lines back in, and as I was letting one down, another fish picks me up..guess they were hungry. Another 31 incher got bled out and we were having a ball. Rob got on the action with an 8 lbs Blue, and Tom had one also.

Ed got back to reeling with a nice 36 inch bass that was his biggest ever. Lots of smiles and high fives as we had a great time out there.

Rob had another blue, and T-Mac got into another bass, this one at 33 inches, that we had to let go. A quick pic for Tom and I swam the fish boatside till he kicked away hard.

Very strange tide for us...never really had the current ripping with that big full moon, considering we were there for the middle of the incoming, but let there be no doubt, there was less than 10 feet of ramp left at the dock when we got back around 10 pm.

Not the biggest fish, but definatley the best striper trip aboard the AllyKat yet.

Ed and T-Mac get them early

Nice going Drew up

I went out Friday night and dealt with the chop. Drifted eels and ended up with a nice bass for the effort Smile
