Got out with T-Mac on monday morning.

Got to the ramp, and it was dead low. The town had a bulldozer there plowing out the north side of the ramp...removing excess sand and making that side usable. Still only one floating dock.

Got out and the stiff west wind had us going against the incoming. We drifted the flats for a while.

Finally, I put out the drift sock to slow us down, and it helped, but not nearly enough. I tied on another bucket, and now was able to fish with a 1 oz spro.

I put out a second bucket and finally we were drifting with the current..rather slowly, but atleast we were going the right direction.

Pulling up fish with three obstacles in the water was fairly comical, but there was no doubt we were pulling fish....mostly big robins, with the occasional short fluke to 18 inches.

Towards the end of the AM, Tommy came tight to a drag puller..granted the drag was set light, but he didnt touch it, and fought the fish up...he seemed dissapointed as he said it was a blue, and he reached down and just pulled it over the rail. Just as it cleared the water, it fell off the hook, and it clearly wasnt a blue, but rather the first ever WEAKFISH landed on the AllyKat. Nice 22 inch keeper that came home with us.

Nice way to end the day, as we came in before noon.

All fish caught on spro's and Gulp.

Cant wait for the fluke to come in west of Pt Jeff.
