Where do you fish for trout?...I live in Manhasset and am always looking for trout spots but can't find any besides hempstead lake.

What is the rule about off-season trout fishing? I thought you couldn't fish at all before April 1, but maybe C&R is OK?

Year Round Trout
Season is open year round three fish per day, special regs. apply some areas. Its what keeps my blood flowing for the winter. Nice job on the big brown, I fished from 6 to 3 on Tues, from Yapank to Wantaugh and all points in between with no bites just to watch a cormorant gulp down a two pound trout right in front of me at north twin lake. Great day affield anyway. Little Neck Bay will be calling soon!
