Got out a little early today, fished the entire outgoing.

Wind from the west, nice clean water, Bunker was the bait.

Bluefish everywhere, all sizes from cocktail up to gorilla brute size. I lost 5 hooks to these yellow eyed monsters!

Then as I was packing up (I had Just taken off my waders), I hear what sounds like line peeling, I say to myself "funny No line out clicker sound"

I head for the front of the truck to see my line totally slack hanging on the beach, peeled down into the mono backing; I forgot to flick the button on the Avets line out clicker & was almost spooled!

I grabbed the rod & reeled up the slack to feel the tug of a fish, a couple of minutes later a nice size bass is on the beach(She could have been the twin sister of the Big Bass I caught yesterday) with a circle hook in the corner of her jaw, I unhook & revive her, Then set her free.

I got to drive home wearing wet pants & wet sneakers, but I have to say it was worth getting wet for!

I Will give it a shot a little further East tomorrow.

Tight Lines!!

No photos, The Mods would delete them anyway as they do spot burn!
