Report location New York > North Shore > C BASS ON THE CQ, MY 1ST KEEPER EVER!!
Fishing method Boat
« Previous Report Next Report »

Had a great day out on the CQ yesterday with my pal Crabby Joe, we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather, not a cloud in the sky, water was flat as a lake and air temp was perfect. We were catching monster porgies, then the blues started showing up, (get to that in a sec! ;-) , then the seabass, lots of teeny ones when I suddenly reeled up a nice one, my first keeper ever!! That was cool! I was catching loads of blues all day in between the porgies when suddenly I reeled up a 6 pounder that won me my 1st pool ever on a boat!!!! My first keeper seabass ever and my first time winning the pool, 2 firsts in one day, can't ask for much more than that!!!

It was a great day on a great boat, I have to get out there more often, it was great to see Captain Chris and mates Mark and John (gave a wave to Desi who was driving the other boat) who all worked extremely hard to make this trip the great day out that it was, thx you guys, hope to see you again soon!!
