Report location New York > Moriches > KING COD WRECK HUNT FOR GIANT FLUKE AND JUMBO SEABASS!!!
Fishing method Boat
« Previous Report Next Report »

Incredible day on the king cod, limts of jumbo seabass and plenty of giant fluke.Capt.Joe took us took us to some of his secret wrecks for some fast and furious fishing for the 6 people on board.Joe put us on top of the seabass then would let us drift the wrecks for some big ocean fluke.Had no drift but Joe power drifted and I worked my bucktails by casting uptide and working them back for some savage hits.

One of the best momants I have ever had fluking on 3 consecutive casts uptide with a 3oz.glow spro and chartreuse and white teaser in 115'of water I caught a 10.5 lb,9 lb and 7lb fluke. The teaser was tipped with 4 inch white gulp swimming mulllet and a chartreuse 400x gulp on the bottom.all fish took the teaser hard.Pinned the gulps through the nose like Reelcranky Billy taught me.Incredible fishing on a great boat with a good group of guys and gals.

Finished the day with a cooler full of seabass to 5 lbs and a big pile of fluke to 10.5 lbs with many 4-7 lbers in the mix in flat calm seas. Many thanks to capt Joe and Matty for an incredible day of fishin!

Val with some quality seabass.

Togilator with a pair of jumbo fluke.

It was! Being one of the six was an amazing experience. Fish with Togilator and you know that he's the man! He's also just a plain old super fellow.
