Decided to stay clear of the inlet and fluke fish between 24 and 26. Bass fishing is not worth the effort - small bass lots of blues and every googan on the east end drifting the inlet armed with spot and 16oz sinkers tring to catch 6 pound bass. Fluking was excellent around the top of the tide. Bigger fish came on pink bucktails with fluke belly. Dropped a 6+ on a live snapper
If you go in the wash outside there's no traffic and plenty of bass, not huge but some nice fish (way over 6 pounds). Really good fishing considering it's August.
