Went out to Kissena today and I saw about 7 carp breeding in shallow water and none would take the bait.... Then came along a pacu I think and just devoured my bait...i was so baffled because I've seen these fish in south America on river monsters....very weird lol

I've seen large pacu's sold in the live markets in Elmhurst, so it's quite possible that someone decided to "liberate" one.....so that it could freeze to death later rather than be cooked sooner. Or it could just be a pet that outgrew it's tank....and welcome.

This is a very good possibility...I've seen it done before and it's a big NO -NOFinger ...yeah it's cool but it's never a good thing to mess around with an ecosystem.
Scupmaster: glad you had some type of action. Invest in a crank bait or spinner bait it'll make for a more productive outingWinkWink
Great job nonetheless, maybe I'll get my license and bump into you. Keep it up. FISH HARD, TIGHT LINES
