On Saturday the water was extremely murky but I decided to take out my kayak and go deep into the cleaner water. After casting for a while I noticed some splashes back in the murkier water close to shore. I casted right after I saw a splash and hooked up with my first ever weakfish. 17 inches. Barely a keeper. Gonna try eating it tomorrow. I was using a white/chartreuse 3/4 oz bucktail with a red/white pork rind. I didn't expect to catch anything in that murky water. Must have been 9 inches of visibility.
