Hit a couple of nice blues today, then the grass kicked in and the wind and rain got nasty. Noticed that this blue looked sick, seeing more and more of these parasites on bunker and blues. This one had them in his body as well as all over his tail.

yep

Nearly every Spring Bluefish I caught this year had them too. I noticed that the fatter Blues didn’t have them. I think while they migrate some Blues get very skinny and become weak, therefore being easy targets for parasites. I'd say they lose them once they get fatter and healthier.

i noticed the same parasite on a bluefish caught on the north shore

Nice blues(besides the parasite) up I found those parasites on some fluke this year too.

Sick fish every where

Seen them caught on the pier and swiming around the foot brige in the west.Maybe coming from VA.ConfusedConfusedsurprise.
