Hit the beach again today, for some more tasty triggers. Got my personal best 19 inch. Impressive fight. Managed a couple of others but the big boy made them look small. Slow pick today. I think these guys are destined for a ceviche for Saturdays dead sticking event. They all had bellies full of tiny mussels. Water seemed cleaner today, less of the gut. The big boy managed to bite through my Gami as I landed him. Close call.

personal best trigger.

as big as my cooler

making the others look small

Nice fish! I never went for them may have to give it a shot.

triggers

Nice catch.

I've never gone for triggers. Are they like catching kingfish? Same rig? Are you on the ocean or bay side? What bait and/or lures? What type of retrieve? How do they hit? What rod/reel is generally used?

Sorry for all the questions.
