I was treated to a great opening day of Fluke/Porgies 2012 Aboard the Black Rock today by my best Bro Mike, with my other best bro George along too.

The weather conditions made for quick drifting and allot of missed fluke & porgy hits. We managed to bag 8 nice keepers to around 6 lbs, releasing a fair number of shorts, birds, giant heart breaking skates that I thought was a 10 lb fluke even head shaking! Also had a by catch of some 8 or so blues, and 6 nice keepers porgies.

Then we went Bass Buck Tailing in the Gut. It was LIGHTS OUT fishing! I decked 8 bass myself, and my 2 bros combined for another 2 apiece. ORL,..no worries.WE left them in a ragging bite while we were hooking up on EVERY PASS! though alas it was time to head back to the barn and we were limited out in about 3 drifts, maybe 4.

Capt. Sloan is a technician when it comes to this method of bass fishing. His boat handling and knowledge of the bottom that he's fishing is impeccable. His mate Joe, is energetic, enthusiastic, positive, up beat, and passionate about his work. The 2 of them did a great job today in spite of less than perfect conditions. The 3 of us aboard had a really great day on the water and we all sincerely thank the both of these great guys. We WILL be back! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!
