Got in my first fishing of the season at the creek yesterday. Water was surprisingly warm...had no problem wading barefoot and staying in the water. There was a nice slot of activity just before and after sunset. I had about 5 or so tiny schoolies on my rubber shad....another guy had at least twice as many. I don't think any were over 12". Bunker showed up also, but only a few flipping. Did not seem like a very large school, and I wasn't able to snag any...not that I tried very hard. Tried again around 1 pm, but got the nothing I expected. Still, it was a beautiful evening and afternoon...can hardly wait to go back out there.

small fish all over Great & little Peconic bay, as well as Southold bay... keep at it cause it's only a matter of time before it all breaks loose. Bigger fish that are west of us are on the move upupup
