Late report from two nights ago. The inner googan really came out this night. Fished most of the outgoing with a friend during the unhuman hours of 11pm-4am, on a nice calm night in a productive area. My buddy and fellow noreaster nailed and released several bass 30-34" all on needles while I truly had some struggles. Dropped 6 fish, and swung and missed on 4 fish, while he was bailing away. Didnt land my first fish until after 3am!! Beached another bass on my SS needlefish shortly after that, both were around 26", and the only shorts caught that night, again, just wasnt my night! Those were the only fish I acually landed, one hit the needle, and the other hit an IPF teaser that I got from a buddy with the same first name as the maker(Thanks Mark, those things really do catch fish huh!) We left shortly after 4am, I got home just after 5am, and was in work by 7am, what a day of hell that was.

Was a great night to be out though, was pretty warm, calm, and boy were the fish chewing. Also was sick to see a shooting star every 15 seconds the entire time we were out. Had to take last night off to get some rest and will hit it again tonight.

Seems like the fishing for December is just getting better and better as the month goes on. Im hoping to be catching bass into January on the south shore, we will see. Hope you all had a good season and wish you a better one next year!
