Took my two oldest sons (6 and 8) for some porgies. Arrived at 8, walked 30 minutes west and settled in. Tide was low and incoming. Mosquitos were not bad but you needed spray. No other fishermen had caught anything and all were waiting for the tide to come in. Fished clams on store bought rigs. After 45 minutes first hit, set the hook and handed the rod to my 6-year old. He could not reel it in all the way, the the 8-yr old took over after 50 yards of reeling. Steady pick of porgies between 10.5 and 14.5 inches (all legal). Bite slowed at 11 PM and we left at 12 AM. 6 porgies in total.
