We launched around 7:30pm incoming tide but water was still pretty low. Carl picked up a few small bass and porgies i had nothing. As the boulder fields started flooding and it got dark the fish turned on and they were all nice fish didn't last too long but what an amazing 1/2 hour or so. Carl ended up with about 8 bass to 38"(and that fish was FAAAAT) i only got 3 but they were 31", 32" and finally a nice FAT 40.25" bass weighed 22 lbs. on carls boga. Man it was fast and furious and fun!! All fish caught on KAYAKCARLS TROLLING TUBES!!! What a beautiful night out with great action!! here are some crappy cell phone pics:

WOW thats awesome. nice stripers. The only thing is if that 40.25 inch bass was fat, it should be at least a 33lb fish NOT 22Wink. I'd double check that boga, thats a big difference in weight. Regardless awesome report. Keep it up. FISH HARD, TIGHT LINES.upup

thanks but i have had a few fish from 40" to 43" and the heaviest was 26#'s . a 40" fish would have to be obese to be 33#'s lolShades

Great job!

That's a great fish. Congratulations. I've had some 40" fish that were about 25 pounds, so I don't think that's too unusual. That is a FAT fish, though. Definitely on the heavy side of 25.

just saying. I was basing it on the way you described it as being a FAT fish, so i figured maybe it should be pushing more the 22lbs. All in all, still congrats on a real nice striper.upup
