Decided to head out for a little afternoon fishing since didn't have to work till later and high tide was due in. Grabbed some left over clam i had frozen and salted and headed to the surf. Talked to some guys asking about action and heard basically Sea Robins and small Fluke so was excited some action was happening.

Get rigged up and on first cast good size Sea Robin after maybe 2 minutes of bait in water. Released safely and waved at the guy next to me. Third cast in got quite alot of weight bending my rod. Got a little overzealous so opened up my drag instead of tightening up then finally corrected and start reeling in. About 40 yards out see something splashing along the surf. Get it in close and finally see the Blue darting amongst the waves. First keeper of the year!!!

So got him onto shore for a few measurements and pictures than threw him back safely to the fishing Gods. Had a few other good hits but couldnt stay hooked up for long. Beautiful day to be out there though. Tight Lines

FIRST BLUE!!! Safely Released
