Slower bite today. I took my bride for a ride and (of course) dropped a line. Caught a nice 23" keeper and a couple of nice 18"-20" fish.

Dropped off my bride then went back west and had trouble hitting the 'spot' with the wind and current the way it was.

All in all a very good weekend and just finished up a fresh fluke supper.

Not much better than getting new gear and producing (getting lucky) with it right away. I am now spoiled by the way my Capt. Neil rod felt and worked. It really made a big difference and I got three keepers in two days on it. I am looking forward to years of use from it, thanks again Capt. Neil.

Thanks Capt. Neil, I broke it in right ! I now have 1st hand knowledge of what yourself and Lep were telling me. I think you would be hard pressed to find another person that is as happy as I am with your craftsmanship and going along with your explanation on what to expect, then do (trying to explain 'feel'). Fantastic knowledge and I will make a more detailed post on Lep's board in a day or two, once I get some more time.

I am really impressed with my new Capt. Neil rod and will cherish it for years to come. You do great work Capt. Neil and it is sincerely appreciated from me Smile
