Had a real good day in the bay today. I was thinking of heading to Port Jeff, but on the way out of the marina a lil' birdie told me to 'head west young man'. So I did and was rewarded.

Nothing happening the first few drifts so I moved to the other side of Nissy's opening. Caught my 1st keeper with my new Capt. Neil rod; a solid 21" fish. Went back over the spot and was buck tailing my two 'new' setups and landed another keeper (21.5").

I figured 'why not' so I set up and drifted over the same piece. I was jigging both rods when I felt a good hit in my left hand, but just as I set the hook I felt a good hit in my right hand.

I pulled up both and the one on the right felt really nice so I placed the other pole in the holder. The fish dove down and tried to stick to the bottom, but that Capt. Neil rod had a good feel so I pulled him up before he could bury.

It was a nice 28", 6.20 pound fluke. I netted him then pulled in the other pole. There was a nice 20" fish on it. I tossed him back and headed for home.

3 keepers with one nice on on my new setup all within 2 hours. NICE day!!
