Late report. Went out friday night to a State Park. Walked west of the jetty. Lots of Hispanic families fishing, just what Memorial Day weekend is about.



I went from 8 PM to 1 AM. Good walk in loose sand, tide was almost high and beginning of outgoing. Forgot my sand spikes, so I used the wagon for a rod support. Used pieces of clams for porgies. Warm, little wind. Saw some fish on the surface, but appeared to be bait. Others caught a searobin, which they donated.



I caught 4 porgies (one was 10 inch so it was released). Rest were 12 inch. Lots or crabs stealing bait, but after a while it was simple to see the difference in the bite so I would just move the bait 10 ft or so.



No blues, no stripers, but porgies were there. Get them while you can.
