Left the dock at 7:45 and passed a good size log just outside the channel. Headed to the eastern bay and hooked into my first fluke of the season at 8:05 on the first drift.

It was a (really) short and I thought 'great start, it is going to be a good day'. It was not to be as it was real slim pickings form there on. Snagged another short by the tail about two hours later; made me think it was bigger than it was. On the last drift (about 11:30) I caught another short, measured 19" but it was thin.

Tried 6' - 30' depths and the water temp was 53 degrees (according to my sensor) throughout. Things should bust open soon when the water warms a little. Little chilly today, but real nice when tucked in close. All in all a real nice day to be out.
