Fishing method Boat

Incredible fishing this morning aboard the Captree Princess with Capt.James(Squirt)Russo.We ran to our spot in some sporty seas this morning than it only took a few wiggles and about 20 minutes for tbhe deck hands to chum up the cod.10 minutes later it was mayham as all hell broke loose. As I looked down the port side of the boat every rod was bent,I than turned and looked at the stern and the same thing. It was some of the sickest fishing I have yets to expereiance,Until we went home 10 - 32 rods were bending with cod flying over the rails at all times.I never came up with an empty hook, you either had 1 or 2 cod everytime you dropped your clam snot down.It just can not get any better than we had today.Everybody smiling with so many fish you were happy to get in a tangle and get a minute of rest. All I can say is get out NOW and enjoy this incredible fishing. All fish were caught on fresh shucked skimmer clams and HEAVY,HEAVY,HEAVY CHUM helped keep the fish under our boat.Pool fish was in the teens with mostly fat green market cod of 4-12 lbs making up the catch.

As always deckhands Pat,James and little big Anthony were on there game. They worked there buts off and were still cutting fish when I left to come home. They were always there for you when you needed a little help.I must say the Captree princess/Rosie team is one of the best I have ever had the privilidge to fish with. These guys are on fire and captain James keeps putting the boat on the meat!

Friday looks like a nice day so give the guys on the Captree Princess/Rosie a call and experiance this great fishing for yourself. As of now they have a very light crowd so blow off work and get south of Block and get you some cod!!!

Rods never stopped bending.

Someone say cod for dinner!

A happy Captree Princess angler with a nice pair of cod

Freezing spray,Do you really want to become a codfisherman?

Comin home,on the couch by 1 PM !!!

W did well jigging after sunup on the frances fleet monday 2/7. In mid-morning, jigs did better than bait.

freezing hands

Hey put a little heat in the rail .... lol. I suppose only one boat has heated rails ? How do you keep your hands warm and dry when you keep baiting with wet snotty clams ? Are hand warmers a good idea ?
I guess i don't need ice for the cooler ...... this time of the year.

No, I don't think you need Ice especially when there's good clean Snow on the ground.

If you do not measure your fish, the state will provide a man with a gun to do it for you.
