Fishing method Boat
« Previous Report Next Report »

Ok fellas here is a quick report.Fished abord Capt.Jamies Fishn express south of Block today and I was not let down.Dropped the hook in the dark and only a handfull came up,capt.made a slight move walter started crackin clam chum and it was game on.Not a slammer bite, just a good pick of fish.I had a limit by about 9:30 AM and then popped some oil cans.Finished the day with 15 keepers and could have caught more if I fished harder.Took it easy Talked a bit and had a few beers.I trhink the pool fish went about 12 lbs and there were several in that size class. We made som drifts lat morning and that produced about 8-12 keepers plus that many shorts per drift. All fish were caught on fresh skimmers, tried the jig but it just wasn't effective. We did some exploring in the afternoon on the way home but it was not that productive. Many,Many limits caugh today,if you didn't get your 10 it was your fault,Capt and crew did there job.

It was nice to see my old friend Capt Jamie who I graduated HS with.A very nice job done by him today handling the boat.Walter running deck along with Jeff were first class.Anybody looking for top cod boat in Montauk should give the fishn exprees a trip, the boat is a rank and very comfortable to fish from.YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!

The quest and HH on the grounds.

Brian from Brooklyn caught ahis shre today.

Yeah Rob where's your pics Finger? I don't think you've ever caught a codfish in your life Toungue!

People post fishing reports on Noreast for different reasons. Rob posts them not to brag about what he caught, but to give a shout out for a job well done on whatever boat he happened to fish on that trip, and to maybe give a little info to anyone reading the report who is thinking of doing the same fishing, or going on the same boat.

There are 4 seasons to the year and you can fish in all of them.  The season never ends...

Miss Montauk Express

Jamie is the man ,not only is he a really good captain he also tells it like it is. Being a captain myself, I try to run my boat like Jamie.People deserve to KNOW whats going on, and not have to deal with a captain who does not communicate with his fares. Jamie sets a standard when it comes to communication. He's truly a good person. So if your going codfishing give him a shot you won't be disappointed.
