Moses 1PM- 5PM. There still is many surf men at Moses, several fields, during the week. Birds in flight in each beach. Same old sand eel menu, so I matched the hatch. A27 with a green tube and an added teaser. The new teaser did the trick. I hit two different fields and on the first cast at each field, bass on, on the teaser, both times. 28 and 33. Both very FAT. Funny that the first casts were the only hook ups. Here's what the birds looked like and my lucky teaser.

Good job! Quick question, how are you fishing the A27+teaser? I can't seem to hook up with this lure. I've used both fast and slow retrieves and have also dragged the bottom, but haven't had too much luck. Thanks.

I've never seen a teaser tied that close to the lure? Does that work well for you?

I was told the "right" way was to tie it closer to the braid/leader connection.

I'm wondering if this is the reason why I've never caught anything on a teaser!

It looks like it is tied close to the lure but it's not. He took the picture that way so he could fit the lure and teaser in the frame. Your right about where to tie the teaser. But, like the other guy said, low and slow

He is correct. The line is looped to show both in the same pic. My teaser's are about 12-18 inches from lure, attached with a small dropper loop.

obtained at

If my memory is correct, which I wouldn't take odds on it, I think it was purchased at last years Fisherman's Show. Mickeyreef said he had one and he was there too, (he was my protection, remember Mikey? lol)

Just a great example of shopping your Mom and Pop stores as these are hand made teasers only available locally.

I just started, labor day, my savings account for this years show. It is pure pleasure for plugaholics. The shows have gotten so good that i now look forward to them almost as much as opening day. And that does not even mention the FREE seminars.

Who makes that teaser?
sick teaser a guy next to me had something similar, he had it 7-8 inches away from the diamond jig and was catching them every 3rd cast in the mud water.

You can get something very similar @ a fly fishing store (surf candy).
