Let me join the CQ lovefest. As a birthday gift to myself, and my wife being away in Florida, I decided to hit the CQ yesterday for some more fluking action. Being fully recovered from the "Capt Neil Invitational" on 7-11-10 sunbaking and fluke slaughter, I headed off to my favorite party boat on LI. Met Freddy Aziter on the boat and we sailed east to the Shoreham area. Fishing was again fantastic, although the fisrt few hours were all shorts, really short, hundreds of 12" fish, nothing even close to a keeper. The tide turned sometime before noon and we had 1 drift where I picked up 2 keepers and most of the keepers for the boat were on that drift. As quick as the big ones came in, they left again. Another great day on the CQ. Capt. Desi's operation is first class in every aspect, whether he's the driver that day or not. The service is terrific and friendly, boat is clean and comfortable, and as a regular I always seem to run into someone I know. I can't say enough good things, doesn't matter if I catch or not. Chances are always good you will catch..........
