Finally the site is working so I can post...Went out Saturday, from 6:15 to 7:30 for my first fishing of the season...Used a white rubber shad and a krocodile...got some hits, presumably from bunker that I bumped against...couldn't bring one in, even with a bunker snag...actually, they had left by the time I put on the snag. I was wading...water was far less cold than I expected. Hopefully the bass will be in by my next time out there.

Yeah....there were no bass as far as I could tell....usually any bass in the spring are more than happy to pounce on a shad, especially during the outgoing tide...while the bunker were there, the school was sparse and didn't stick around for long.
