Hit the surf at 5pm........not fishable! No life and no reason to stay. Dont waist your time guys ...your best cast will hit two feet of water.

Tried shooting down to F-2 .......only to find out that it was closed.

Last year I put on my wetsuit and walked out through the gulley at Gilgo onto the outer bar. The deepest water I was in was up to my chest. Nobody was catching anything. When I got to the outer bar, the water was about a foot deep. As soon as I cast out a metal lip BAM. Fish on. This went on until the tide forced me back and I had to "bob" all the way back to the beach once I got in the gulley. My only reason for posting this was to show that you have to SOMEHOW get past that outer bar.
