I went out for a blackfish trip with friends Bill and Ben in 40 off Rye. The forecast was for seas 1 ft. or less out of the east.It was more like 2 to 3 into my butt. Anyway it was very picky but we did manage 3 keepers among us with some shorts.Bill caught the big one -a 6lb`er.Called it a day at noon. I didn`t get mugged too much this time.As usual, lots of laughs.

For you guys still heading out, we had a surface temp of 54, started out in 28 ft off Mamaroneck for a slow pick then moved east to 52 ft for about the same. Looks like the fish are pretty much spread out but I'd go deeper from here on out til it ends. And yes, no one mugged Pete, cause he wasn't catching anything. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
