Hit a sand beach West of town just before first light. Caught one short Bass on a Needlefish. Just as it got light, the bite was on. Caught 4 more shorts, then a fat 39 incher which I released. All those fish were on tins. I left them biting at 7:30 am to catch the 8-12 trip on the Lazybones.

The Lazybones bite was on fire. 8 fares on board, and all had keeper Bass. I caught an 18 lb, 38" Bass which I kept. Three other short Bass. I had about 13 big Blues as well. Everyone on board caught about the same, give or take a few. An excellent trip.

I tried the sand beach for about a half hour from 12:45 to 1:15 with no action. Went home after that.
