Arrive at the Inlet at 6:20am, a few more boats then yesterday but similiar conditions. Birds were working the front of west cut and in front of the west jetty, not a calm as yesterday either. Drifted down the middle in a boat procession until 7:30am with a few pick ups and drops nothing landed. Decided to move away from the fleet and fished the flats behind buoy 4W, was the right move with my buddy Mick picking up a 35.5" 15lber around 8ish, That christened his new rod, he was stoked. Next drift Micked set on a 29" and passed me the rod, with a PENN GTI, liked it. Stayed another hour for fun but no more fish. My buddy Rich from Dick's bait and tackle also picked up a 35" 15lber off the flats around 9. Headed home by 930. It wasn't like yesterday but still a great day.
