Fished a couple of hours on this gorgeous afternoon. Thought I'd see if anything was going on at the Nissy at the top of the ebb tide. Lots of bait present, but the only things eating them were sea-robin... dozens of sea-robins on tins and bucktails. It was fun on light tackle, anyway, and beats the hell out of sitting at a desk reading about fishing on an internet forum wishing I was knee deep on the beach with a bend in the rod.

Birds of a feather flock together

Check out my posting on 10/05/09, almost identically to yours. Sea robins left and right. I beached atleast 15 in a 2 hour span using bucktails and tins. Hopefully the River will start producing some nice blues and stripers.

There's certainly enough to eat! Sea-robins crashing bait is just comical. Toungue I actually had one jump out of the water to eat my reel! I'm fishing a Stradic 5000FI and the flash must have triggered the "attack" - honestly, it was kind of startling. surprise

Just waiting for temps to drop, I suppose...

Robins on a Beachmaster

Some may not believe this, but I caught a searobin on a 3oz Beachmaster Cowboy a few years back. It went for the head. The Searobin wasn't that big either!

DIDN'T SEAROBIN SEASON CLOSE LAST MONTH?

I DO hope that you guys got your '09 Searobin research/recreation permits. I understand that prison cells are being constructed at NMFS and NOAA for violators. Mad

I survived Roe v. Wade
