Who ever said that Montauk is dead was right.Very very slow season so far nothing major going on at the point caught 2 small bass.Headed to the south side no major signs of fish but they were there.shhh Had my first ever triple today 3 bass,2 were rats 18" 1 was 29".Then 7 Bonito and 4 blues

They're false albacore...aka little tunny or fat alberts. Not a true albacore tuna

Not very good to eat unlike green bonita which are tasty

Bonita have straight lines on their body

Did you get them from the beach? That's a great job...typically they stay just out of casting range when I'm out there. They give a great fight. What were they hitting?
