I fished RM2 all the way out to the point and back this morning. Great white water and the E>W sweep wasn't that bad, BUT the water was really colored up and the back side was weed city. The only thing caught today was a trio of surfers by Suffolk Police ignoring the "swimming prohibited" signs.

The beach has been drastically reshaped. There are some nice deep bowls on the west side of the jetty. Saw a huge flock of birds working over a school of fish about 300 yards off shore. It's just a matter of time before those schools come within range, right? Is it random or does a south wind help?

Shot up the parkway to SM just to see what was going on. Nada.

I think so an onshore wind can't hurt , but I think n/w wind (high p. front) will knock down the surf (and sweep) plus maybe put a chill in the air (and water) that we need to get things rolling ! Most of the time this turns to the s/w (indian summer style) and the fish will hug the beach we hope? ( It sounds good anyway?) Good luck.
