Well im not really a bass fisherman, but after me and my cousin found a "secret" lake, we just had to fish it. So last week we walked into the lake for the first time ever, and first cast my cousin had a fish on, it was a small bass. The very first cast got me a small bass also, but a HUGE bass came up, and we think tryed to eat it, but this was a good 9-10 pound fish!8* So today we fished the lake again trying for this big bass, and i caught 3 more bass, and he had 4 bass already. Then while we were wading a smaller cove he hooks up with a VERY large bass. The fish startes taking drag, and he starts yelling BIG FISH. I didn't relize how big it was until i got closer and he yelling for me to grab the fish,. Well after grabbing the fish we walked it to shore and he came in at 8 1/2 pounds. We got a few pics of the fish, then he was relesed back into the lake to live on.:tu::tu: He was excited as i was, and now we have a good fish story, and gotta go back to get the bigger bass in there.:tu:8)

8.5 lbs. on L.I. is a monsta

Now that's a bucketmouth!! I would keep that locale on the major QT and not tell to many "friends". Take them there if they want and threaten them with their lives if the reveal the location. Way to go !!! And awesome job on the release.

Really nice fish. Way to go
I am pretty sure it is not the middle wantagh twin lake because that lake has a lot more weeds.

Absolutely great job! That's a beaut of a bucketmouth and a good story to boot. As for the guys qyestioning the weight and the guys questioning if they kept it- can't you find another way to spend your time than criticizing other people?

If that fish was 8.5 lbs, my scale must have been broken when these came in at 8 and 9 lbs..

Maybe your scale was broken or maybe it was hard to read if you were holding it as far away from you as those bass. looks are decieving great catch striperman

I wasnt criticizing at all, I told him it was a great catch, just posted the pics because We fish the same area. Actually wanted opinions, maybe my scale was off at 8 and 9 lbs.. And yeah i am holding those fish out far...I really didint have to though.. They were once in a lifetime fish, caught ten min within eachother. I wasnt posting to start drama with all the haters.. But sorry to striperman if he though i was calling him a lier, only that my eqiupment may have been faulty because mine looked larger..

OFF to the canyon in 2 hours....

It is just pathetic that someone, especially a young angler, cannot post a report of a very nice fish on here without some of you professionals questioning the size of the fish or telling him what to do with it ( ie release it or keep it).

Striper man, excellent job my friend upup Keep posting your reports, and never mind what a few negative individuals have to say, as you can see, they do not have the right to say what they please on here.
