- Here's the Cliff-Note version:

Fished for 2+ hours right thru sunset and nada.

- Here's the slightly longer version:

Fished the last two-hours of the incoming tide .... had both the wind and the tide running in the same direction, not to mention it was the eve of a Full moon.

Started with a chicken scratch bomber, switched to a bucktail, then tried some top water action with a popper as the sun was setting, and last but not least I went back to a black bomber.

Tide, wind, moon all seemed to be right except no one told the fish ....

Anyone care to offer up any suggestions?

try fishing the bottom of the tide, last of out right before dead low, should do the trick, that seems to be when the action is the best. good luck

Structure. What about structure. Bass ambush their food and they like to conserve energy. They will usually hold on the down current side of structure. If you start at the construction docks and walk west, there are lots of concrete debris that create eddies where fish will hold. (Oops, did I just burn a spot?)up Make sure you have good footwear, the debris in the sand is killer. Chunks of concrete and rebar will tear your feet open if your wearing flip-flops.

Many thanks to all ....

TallPaul - Know the area you mentioned, but was actually a little further east, "near" Field 10 .... ever fish from the beach there?

Likeitreallyis - Would have stayed longer but with no fish and tons of bugs .... the bugs won.
