Went out late Sun. afternoon (31 May) to catch the outgoing and came up blank. Threw the bag (soft plastics, tins, poppers, pencils, bucktails, swimmers) and nada.

The weather changed and a front seemed to move thru which I thought would turn them on but obviously that didn't pan out.

There was some decent bird activity with what looked like piping plovers diving and coming up with small spearing? Assuming they were spearing, you could also see them scattering every time I pulled my lure thru them?

It was my first time on the backside this season and I couldn't believe how much beach was lost to the point were you couldn't walk towards the Jetty from the coast guard station during the top of the tide.
