So, with all my sick days built up over the years, I decided to take a day off from work...I was determined not to miss that initial run of big blues in early May that I missed last year. And, as is always my experience, I heard all about how great it was a few days ago. The tide line at the mouth was covered in fish scales...supposedly the bunker had been beaching themselves to get away from the blues. I didn't have a single hit...tried krokodiles, storm shads, and a bunker plug...nobody else had a single hit either. No bait...no bunker, just one lone silverside that jumped out of the way of my Krocodile. Tried outgoing in the afternoon, dead low to incoming from 6:30 til dark...again this morning at 10...wanted to go at dawn, but the idea of being hit by lightning doesn't appeal to me that much....still, it was really great to be out there wading in the creek again, casting is always fun, and I picked up a load of mud snails for my reef tank.....
