Ran out with the Miss Montauk on 3/16, with 35 other fisherman. Nice ride out, very sloppy coming back. Mike Galante came with me, ran into Mike Ahern as well. Started fishing at 6:45am, got 1 tiny cod, and that was it for 7hrs, not even a single bite. I thought this was it, its over, I had a great run this year. Capt Jamie moved all over the area, unable to find anything. At 2:30pm we anchored up next to the Sea Otter, over the loud speaker Capt said one last shot, we'll give it 30 minutes. Just like that, tide changed, chum went into the water, BANG, fish on all over the boat. Rods bent down the line like domino's. That elusive bite was back on for now. It lasted till around 4:30pm, we had to go home, left them biting, got back to the dock after 7pm. Great efforts all around. We actually put together a decent day, fish were bigger, we ended with plenty. I hope it lasts a little longer, I have a trip planned for 3/21, probably my last for cod, the freezer is bursting at the seams. I hope everyone has enjoyed this run as much as me, we in the northeast deserve it. Good Luck, Kevin R

very nice morning on the water
