Fishing method Boat

My computer crashed, I was completely lost, thats why this is so late. I happened to be lucky enough to get invited by Rob Togilator on this 6 pack cod trip on 3/8/09, Capt Mike Potts driving the Blue Fin IV to the grounds south of Block. A pretty snotty ride out, the winds were kicking at 530am. Potts was late, he claims he didn't adjust his clock for the hour. No problem with us. Along for the ride was Jay, Josh, Glenn, Mike Galante, Rob Togilator and myself. I had an instant feeling the day was going to be a good one, Huey the mate was shucking fresh clams, game on. We arrived at cod city at approx 730am, everyone at the rails ready for the hook to be set, Potts gave the go ahead and it was instant hook-ups. All 6 rods bent immediately, and stayed that way for the next 2 hours, a complete bail job. It had to be one of the top 3 trips I ever had, ever. After the first hour, I was actually hoping it would slow down a bit, to catch my breath and give my arms a rest, never happened. Its thursday now and my wrist still hurts, must be my age. I thoroughly enjoyed the group of guys I was with, the Capt and mate were first rate. I can go on and on, it would make no sense. In Rob Togilators report he said it perfectly, IT WAS LIKE PORGY FISHING FOR COD, nothing else to say. Thanks Jay for setting up the trip and thanks Rob for inviting me. Anyone who has been out to Montauk already knows the deal. Oh Yea, at around 9am we heard 3 toots of a horn, looked over and realized the ROSIE was calling it a day, imagine a party boat packing it in at 9am, thats how good its been. Good luck to everyone, got out there and get some......Kevin R PS. If you've never fished with Capt Potts, book the Blue fin IV, its a great experience.............

We were fishing that day. Like you said, "Porgy fishing for Cod". Pure insanity. Looks good for the weekend.
