it may sound silly but sometimes the retrieve can make all the difference change it up fast, slow, twitch, it dosent hurt to pay close attention to those doing well what plug, tin, or color are they using ect.ect.ect. ive had a lot of luck lately with hopkins and kastmasters with a fairly quick retrieve.

Keep at it! I agree I have been doing well with a faster retrieve on Hopkins and Kastmasters, only shorts on tins though. Just keep going last year during the run I only caught shorts and blues, but it made me better this time around. Just keep trying!

Answer this and I'll see if I can help.
Line test?
Lure size?
Color of lure?
Type of lure?

White bucktail with red\white rind with feathered teaser. Try casting at differet angles instead of strait out all the time. Give the rod a twitch every 3rd or 4th turn of the real. This may be difficult to do if your rod is not stiff enough. If you feel little bumps and can't hook-up, slow the retreive down. Don't be afraid to walk up and down beach. look for diffences in current and structure. If you can't tell by looking, drag the bucktail across bottom and feel for humps and drop off's. If your fishing at night, a bomber with a very slow retrieve has been working well. carefull of those trebles. Head lamp recomended. Good luck

Get a $3 A27 Diamond Jig from your local B&T, plain treble or with a green tube tail. Been catching em for quite some time on that with a standard retrieve. Plastics on jig heads have been a hot number as well. Tins are pretty easy to fish and cast like a rocket, not to mention, they dont break the bank. Get a bunch of the standard tins you see posted on these reports...your bound to catch something sooner or later.

during the day, tins... retrieved in same manner.. my go to tins are my no- name tin (i really dont know what it is or where i got it but it works) and my hopkins shorty
