Hey Striper at what time did you show up at field 3? I was there from 6:30AM to 8:15AM and landed 6 fish on tins, darter and bucktails.

If the only effort your're going to make is chasing reports, then you don't deserve to catch any fish.

Reports & Moses

They are there, but I have only seen and heard of schoolies in the last 2 weeks at Moses. I was out there a 2 weeks ago and caught 10 in a short time. Use the teasers, they are schoolie candy!

As far as TOny9244's comment, this is ridiculous! If you are going to be such an a$$, you probably don't deserve to catch any. Don't listen to the negative posts and just keep fishing...

Good Luck!

i've been going to moses in the evening. i guess im not putting in the effort there cause its been cold. i like driving onto gilgo and marathon fish. i've been fishing inbetween the sand bars from gilgo to cedar. ya cast out for a few then get in the truck, warm up and move on. my theory is that you shouldn't spend more than ten minutes in one spot. if they're there they'll bite right away. its been working for me.

Toyota and Tony, I don't get it. Not meant as a criticism, but if you're going to criticize people for reading reports, why do you have over 1000 and 96, respectively, posted reports? And here's a survey for everyone - stickly the honor system now - how many guys have never, and I mean never, went down to the the beach based on a report they read. Would be interested in seeing the replies.

ive learned from chasing reports..it sets you up for the "the fish are gonna be there" you get there an skunk...what does that do someones mindset??? but if you went to a beach looking for structure doing some work and get rewarded with fish...thats what is all about... as far as posting reports go...ive learned from mistakes and now i value silence of my fishing...silence is golden...i dont feel the need to post a report every time i go and catch fish...thats whay my PRIVATE logs are for. nuff said?

lmao....there was no negativity on my part..just stategies to help you instead of listening to what other people catchh. must be even worse to admit your a report chaser.... and here i am trying to be nice telling you to find structure and you will be rewarded. MOST OF US DONT PLAN TRIPS REGARDING REPORTS...what a lack of respect..? btw toyotas do not suck.... have a nice day

For Toyota & everyone else

Toyota:

Your post was great, you let them know what to look for. For the ones that don't know, listen. It's good advice. But the fact that you endorsed that other guy's report...With your thumbs up....Well....That kinda sucks.

He just trashes people on their reports. Look at his history. Probably doesn't catch much...

Everyone:

Structure, rips, holes, sandbars....Look for this and catch fish. Oh and a little advice most won't tell you. Use your heavy bucktail, feel the bottom (structure/holes) and you will be rewarded! The bass move 12 to 20 miles west per day during the "Run". So reports can be helpful. I read the reports, but never post. I will post again in the spring... Bay action only! I work hard to find the fish on the beach. Especially this time of year. Two weeks ago LB was on fire, I read the reports in the early morning. Then I cut them off at Atlantic in the late afternoon/night. Had a great time. Next day went to Breezy...More action.

Moses, Gilgo and now Jones are holding plenty of Schoolies. So reports are great for those who want to catch unlimited schoolie bass, not keepers. Or you will have to night stalk and find look for the things that Toyota says...

No reason to trash anyone here. We are all in it for the same thing. We should forget the BS. We can all have a great laugh together. GO TO YOUTUBE, CAPTAIN JEFF. Watch his videos on hogleggin and spot stealing and laugh you a$$e$ off. Let me know what you guys think.

Phenom3x16 :

thanks for the Captain Jeff videos! See you on Friday for some bass action.

James

BTW - Toyotas don't suck, the Fj Cruiser is pretty awesome. Right Phenom?
