got to jones last night around 9pm, after some searchin i found some nice white water. threw on a needlefish and went to work... pulled 4 schoolies out and a keeper at just over 28" which was released... saw a few baby skates beach themselves and then get washed back into the surf.. possibly what the stripers were feeding on... dont really know any lures that can imitate a small skate so i stayed with the needle, it seemed to be working

i saw 5 very small skates wash up onto the beach and then get washed away back in to the water... the first one i didnt see right away but heard splashin close to shore a few feet away... thought it was bait in the shallows... looked to my right and saw a skate about 8 in. wide on its back, and then got washed away... first time i have ever saw this as well
