Myself and 2 buddies hit the CQ for the opener today, glad we went. Perfect weather, light crowd, good fishing.

Capt. Desi put up a shots of my buddy Brian and Myself and a few other pics too on his report of today's trip.

I bagged my limit to 5.3 lbs, and Bri had 7 keepers retaining only his limit of course. John had one nice one and lost another good one that really bent his rod.

Nice pork chop sized porgies and some good eater size small blues rounded out the catch providing up and down fishing action. Everyone on the boat went home with plenty to eat today. It wasn't a banner day or a slammer, but it was a really GREAT opening day of TOG and happy happy PORK CHOPS!!! Just the tip of the iceberg, it's only gonna get BETTER!!!!!!! Couldn't ask for much better Than it turned out ZERO complaints!!!!

Capt. Desi was on board to kick off this years fall festivities in victorious style, and we were joined by a special guest star working deck today, Capt. Paul of the Tradewinds from Captree, along with the regular cast of characters. It was a really great day on board the CQ. Don't miss it this year! We're only going to be allowed to fish for the Pork chops until the 15th of this month, so get em while you can, and while they're HOT!!!! I'll be back!!!!

2nd day of tog season

A very typical October day on LI Sound. Look at the time stamp. I have been to the CQ, sailed, turned around and am now working on rods.

Galloping white stallions all over the Sound.
