Fishing method |

Boat |

Hit the Viking Stariper on 8/10 for the special Block Island fluke trip. Fantastic results as I think the entire boat limited. The fishing was sick, early and late tides were the trick, slacked for lunch. Many big fat shorts went back, if it were last years regs, all would have limited by 9am. Its a shame its over in 20 days. Best fluking for me in years on pure size of the fish I caught alone. Lots of fun with med/lite tackle, a bit sticky over there, lost several rigs. Hi/Lo rigs worked best, nothing fancy, any shade of green. Beautiful weather, sunny and warm. Hope to get out again before its over. Thanks to Capt. Anthony for moving around to stay on the bite while the tide cooperated, mates were very helpful. Good Luck...........Kevin R
