Hit the Tradewinds 11 yesterday for some Ocean fluking. I heard/read the action was steady as long as the conditions were right. Yesterday it got better as the day went along. No drift in the am, picked up later with the wind. Had a full boat yet plenty of fishing room. Most guys used either a single or double teaser above the weight, for me double green/chartruse worked the best. I finished with 2 keepers out of 11 fish caught, threw several heart breaker shorts back, big fat 19"-20" fish, man is it frustrating, in fact very, very frustrating. It hurts watching those hugh shorts go back. I guess the boat had approx 30 keepers or more, lots of large shorts. Heading to Montauk on 8/10 for the Viking Block Island fluke trip (20 man limit), hope to get in as much fishing before 8/31. As always, the Tradewinds ia a great boat, Capt. and service. I'll probably be out several more times before it ends, then I don't have a plan.. Good Luck to all..............Kevin R
